Mr & Mrs Walker’s spring wedding at Rosegate Venue was a beautiful day of celebration! It has been such a joy to serve and pray for Rachel + Luke these past months. I am so proud of how my associate team captured their day and I am excited to share all my favorites!
Rachel + Luke, I have prayed for you as I edited the images for the blog. Rachel, as I see the pictures of your dad walking you down the aisle and then leading you through your vows, Holy Spirit brought to my mind the story of Ezra and laying the foundation for the second temple.
When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel. And they sand responsively praising and giving thanks to the LORD:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever.”
Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
Ezra 3:10-11
Your are building your family on a strong spiritual foundation! Continue to praise and worship the Lord as you allow Him to lead and guide you. He is good, He is trustworthy. He is a good Father who will always lead you down the right path. Follow Him!
Rachel + Luke, it has been an honor to pray for you during this season. May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
Haley + Josh’s spring wedding at The Ivy and First Baptist Brandon was a beautiful day of celebration! Haley’s blush, white and gray color pallet was absolute perfection against the white backdrop of The Ivy! And I just love the pop of teal with the classic mustang! Every detail Haley chose for her wedding day showed off her classic style and rich family heritage. Family heirlooms were used throughout the day. From Haley’s veil originally worn by her mother, to the unity candle that was used by her grandmother and mother in their weddings. The rich heritage of love of Jesus and love of family shined brightly throughout the day.
Haley + Josh, your love for Jesus and your love for one another was evident throughout your wedding day. I have prayed for you as I edited these images. The verse the Lord led me to is Psalm 143:8.
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I Trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You.
Psalm 143:8
God has led you in your relationship. He has brought you together in marriage. He will continue to lead you and guide you. Look to Him for direction. He will never fail you! His plans for you are good, to bring heaven to earth!
It has been such an honor to serve you during this season. May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.
Introducing the new Mr & Mrs Presley just moments after they said “I do” at their spring wedding at Fairview Inn.
Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone and knowing instantly that they are “my kind of people”? Yep. That’s how I felt when Peyton + Ken first reached out to me about capturing their wedding. When we were able to meet in person at their Riverside Engagement Session in Memphis it was confirmation that this joyful, Jesus loving couple would be an absolute joy to work with! I have looked forward to March 13 ever since!!
Every detail of Peyton + Ken’s spring wedding at Fairview Inn was absolute perfection! My team and I were in photographer heaven capturing every bit of it! When I sad down yesterday to select my favorites for the blog post, it was impossible to narrow it down to only 100. This is officially the most images I have published in a single blog post to date!
Not only was everything about Peyton + Ken’s wedding beautiful, but their friends and families were just the sweetest to work with. My heart was so full as I celebrated with them and truly felt like a special guest who happened to be carrying a camera.
My Prayer For You
Peyton + Ken, I have prayed for you as I have edited the images for this blog post. As I have prayed I see your marriage relationship being a wrecking ball for the kingdom that tears down strongholds! 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” The love and joy of the Lord that you both carry so well is a mighty weapon for the Kingdom of God! He has filled you to overflowing with His love and His joy, and you give it away beautifully!
It has been such an honor to celebrate this season with you. I hope the Lord directs our paths to cross again!
Rachel + Brennan are now husband and wife, and I am so proud of the job my associate photographer team did capturing their wedding day! I am so in love with the purple and white colors in this elegant wedding!
I have prayed for you as I edited these images, and the verse that keeps coming to my mind is from Song of Solomon 3:4 “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” I pray that you will always keep your focus on Jesus and allow Him to teach you how to love one another. He has amazing things ahead of you!!
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE Christmas! And Madison + Zach’s Christmas wedding in Philadelphia, MS was an absolute dream to capture!! The classic Christmas decor and timeless attire was absolute perfection!
Madison + Zach, I have prayed for you as I edited these images, and I am so excited about all the Lord has planned for you! I hope you love these images as much as I do!

Mr & Mrs Woodruff’s Winter Wedding at Stone Bridge Farms has been such a dream to be part of!! I first met Christana + Andrew a year and a half ago at Victoria + Drew’s Detail Rich Disney Inspired Wedding, and I just fell in love with this sweet couple! At the time they were not yet engaged, but Andrew shared his proposal plans with me that day! I must confess that I Facebook stalked them for months waiting for his big plan to take place! Christana and I talked back and forth the whole time they were looking at venues and deciding on a date for their big day. Walking through the engagement and wedding planning season with my couples is such a joy for me!!
My associate team did an amazing job capturing Christana + Andrew’s Winter Wedding at Stone Bridge Farms! I couldn’t be more proud!
My Prayer For You
Christana + Andrew, I have prayed for you as I have edited the images from your wedding. As I pray, I feel God’s excitement over all He has planned for you!
The phrase that keeps running through my mind is from Psalm 23:2 –
He leads me beside still waters.
I know it has been crazy with work and wedding planning, but He is faithful to lead you beside still waters to restore your souls. He is faithful to bring refreshing for spirit, mind and body. Look for these opportunities and be obedient to drink from the still waters as He leads.

Rachel + Luke’s multi location engagement session was SO MUCH FUN!! This was Tara’s second engagement session to capture for MLP. I went along as a coach, but let me tell you. She did NOT need me! My girl Tara hit the ball out of the park with this gorgeous engagement session!! I am so thankful she is on my team!!
How they met.
When I asked Rachel how they met, she replied, “Wellll….it came as quite a shock to both of us, but our initial interaction was through a dating app. We quickly forewent the app and just went with the old fashioned exchanging of phone numbers. I had recently been to San Francisco, CA for the first time, and he had recently moved home from San Francisco. We also knew a lot of mutual people. Our first date was to see Jim Gaffigan (one of my favorite comedians) at the Brandon Amphitheater. Hands down, the best first date I’ve ever been on. It was fun, effortless…we immediately had chemistry and a connection. We talked about big topics, and it wasn’t weird or awkward. All those things aligned. It didn’t take but a couple dates for us to realize that this was something real and serious. By about the 2-3 week mark, it was official, and the families knew. By 4 weeks, we’d said “I love yous”, and the rest is kinda history.”
How he proposed.
Let me tell you…he went above and beyond. We had just gotten back into town from a beach trip with my family (where I thought he might possibly pop the question). It was a Monday, and I was supposed to work that night. I noticed he was being a little chattier than usual for a work day, but I just chalked it up to maybe he was missing me after being together for a week.
Around mid-afternoon, I got a text from my charge nurse at work that I might not be needed that night due to low census. I told Luke, and he’s literally never been so interested in the fact that I might get canceled lol. He suggested that if I got canceled, we should “continue the beach trend” and go to a nice seafood dinner. Very nice but also very unusual for us to do on a Monday night.
I ended up falling asleep in “prep” for possibly having to work, and I think that about caused Luke to have a heart attack. He was texting and calling me, and eventually got my roommate and her dog involved to “naturally” wake me up. I was awoken by Lindsey’s dog scratching on my door (something he’s never done in the year+ we lived together – turns out it was some assisted scratching from Lindsey haha.) When I woke up, I was canceled from work, and Luke was telling me to get ready to go to dinner.
I got ready, he picked me up, and we headed to what I was told was Bonefish Grill (I’m not super familiar with Madison). I don’t really pay a lot of attention when I’m the passenger seat going somewhere, but I did notice that we had driven past the usual turn onto Main St. and kinda come around the back way onto Main St. – something that I thought was odd, but I just went with it.
We pulled into the parking lot of Madison Methodist church, and Luke started to get out of the truck, so I said, “What are we doing here?” His response was a coy, “I just gotta talk to you about something.” We walked to a bench in their outdoor courtyard. There were flowers set up all around, and we sat on the bench. He started telling me about how this is where his parents got married, and he wanted to do that with me. 🙂 I’ll keep the rest of his speech to myself, but he ended up on one knee and asking me to marry him! Of course, I said yes, and then a photographer came from around the corner and snapped several pics for us and even caught the proposal.
Afterwards, Luke said we were now actually headed to dinner, but it was at Table 100. (The whole Bonefish Grill thing was just a ruse to get us to Madison.) I thought the surprises were over, but when we got to the restaurant, we were escorted to a room in the back where both of our immediate families were waiting to celebrate with us! (And that’s no small feat…I’m one of five kids, and Luke’s brother and his fiancee live in Dallas.) He did an incredible job, and as if the proposal itself wasn’t enough, he gave me the most special day! 🙂
My prayer for you.
Rachel + Luke, I have prayed for you as I edited the images from your session. The word that keeps coming to my mind as I pray is “steadfast.”
Steadfast: adjective; resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering.
Be steadfast in your pursuit of Jesus. Be steadfast in your pursuit of one another. Be steadfast in your obedience to Him. He will lead you best.
There are SO MANY reasons why I am excited to blog this fall Natchez Trace engagement session!! First, Alexia + Hunter are the the sweetest and most fun couple ever! Second, my associate photographer Tara shot this session! I was there as a second photographer just to back her up on her first engagement session with me. When I uploaded the images from both of our memory cards, I had to look at the metadata to know whose images were whose!! I love how Tara is able to match my style seamlessly.
Even though Tara will be the photographing Alexia + Hunter’s wedding day, I still am still able to get to know my amazing Meridith Lee couples! I loved “meeting” Alexia + Hunter during their Zoom consult, and it was even more fun to spend time with them as a second photographer at their engagement session. While I will only be second shooting a handful of engagement sessions with Tara, investing in a relationship with all Meridith Lee couples will remain a priority! Helping my brides plan all the details of their perfect day, and supporting my couples with prayer and encouragement will always be a big part of the Meridith Lee Wedding Experience!
How they met…
When I asked Alexia how they met, she replied “We met at Mississippi College, mostly through FCA lead team! He played baseball and I played softball. We were actually both short-stops.. ha! We met sophomore year and were very good friends for about a year and a half before we started dating! Hunter jokes a lot about me putting him in the friend-zone 🙈”
How He proposed…
He told me we had a wedding to go to in Columbus for one their family friends. They made it very believable – there actually was a wedding so that helped! There were too many of us to fit in one car, so Hunter and I drove separately. Turns out, we turn into one of his family friends house where there were rows of sunflowers that Hunter had planted himself!!! He planted them 3 months before! I love sunflowers and we always try to find sunflower fields, so I was absolutely impressed. He told me he had planted them for one reason, and got down on one need to ask me to marry him! It was the most perfect day!
My Prayer For You!
As I edited these images, I have prayed for you and your future marriage. The verse that keeps coming to my mind is 1 Corinthians 16:14. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” This is such a key to all relationships, but especially marriage. I pray that you will not allow pride into your relationship, but that you will stay humble and patient with one another, considering one another’s needs above your own. I pray that you will grow in your love for one another as you draw closer to Jesus.
It is such an honor to know you and pray with you through this season! And I hope you love these images from your engagement session as much as I do!!
Chase and Alyssa’s fall wedding at Castle Grove Plantation got off to a bit of a dreary start. Storms rolled in the evening before and it was still misting rain as I drove from Jackson to Meridian on Saturday morning. I called Alyssa on the way to assure her that the radar showed the rain moving out before time to begin portraits, and that no matter what her wedding day would be beautiful!
I arrived extra early to ensure we had flexibility in the timeline to plan around the weather and to not be rushed. After talking to Alyssa and the other vendors, the decision was made to move the ceremony from the pecan grove to higher ground on the lawn just behind the beautiful barn. As the amazing vendor team began the hard work of moving the ceremony, my team and I began photographing Alyssa & Chase’s beautiful wedding details!
The Details
Capturing wedding day details is one of my favorite parts of the day! It gives me an opportunity to get a feel for the style of the day, and to warm up my creativity. I have recently completed the Katelyn James Bridal Details Course, and I am excited to put into practice all that I have learned with each wedding that I have the honor of capturing!
Getting Ready
Alyssa’s full lace and bead Martina Liana bridal gown was simply stunning!
Wedding at Castle Grove Plantation
Moving the ceremony location from the pecan grove to the lawn overlooking the pond was the perfect decision! The rain stopped and the sun came out just in time for outdoor portraits, and everything was dry for a beautiful ceremony!

My Prayer For You
Chase and Alyssa, I have prayed for you as I have edited these images. I have prayed Paul’s words from Ephesians 3:14-21:
14 So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, 15 the perfect Father of every father and child[e] in heaven and on the earth. 16 And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.
17Â Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.
18–19 Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude[f] of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.
21 Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!

Mr & Mrs Woods’ green and gold fall wedding at McClain Lodge was an absolute dream to capture! Allison and Gerrard are such a sweet couple. I have loved getting to know them and celebrating with their friends and family!
Special Guests
McClain Lodge was the perfect setting for Allison and Gerrard’s wedding. This artsy couple met at Mississippi State University where Allison is studying Wildlife Biology and specializing in frogs. Special guests of the day included not only family and friends from California and Colorado, but also an alligator who swam near as we were taking portraits, and a baby frog who hopped onto the train of Allison’s gown to say a special hello!
Every detail of this green and gold fall wedding at McClain Lodge was carefully planned and chosen over Allison and Gerrard’s three year engagement. The day could not have been more perfect!
Prayer
I have had the song “The Blessing” playing on repeat as I have edited the images for your blog post. I have been singing and praying over you and your marriage.
The Lord bless you And keep you Make His face shine upon you And be gracious to you The Lord turn His Face toward you And give you peace
May His favor be upon you And a thousand generations Your family and your children And tHeir children, and their children
