Spring Wedding at The Ivy

Haley + Josh’s spring wedding at The Ivy and First Baptist Brandon was a beautiful day of celebration! Haley’s blush, white and gray color pallet was absolute perfection against the white backdrop of The Ivy! And I just love the pop of teal with the classic mustang! Every detail Haley chose for her wedding day showed off her classic style and rich family heritage. Family heirlooms were used throughout the day. From Haley’s veil originally worn by her mother, to the unity candle that was used by her grandmother and mother in their weddings. The rich heritage of love of Jesus and love of family shined brightly throughout the day.

Haley + Josh, your love for Jesus and your love for one another was evident throughout your wedding day. I have prayed for you as I edited these images. The verse the Lord led me to is Psalm 143:8.

A Spring Wedding at Fairview Inn

Introducing the new Mr & Mrs Presley just moments after they said “I do” at their spring wedding at Fairview Inn.

Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone and knowing instantly that they are “my kind of people”? Yep. That’s how I felt when Peyton + Ken first reached out to me about capturing their wedding. When we were able to meet in person at their Riverside Engagement Session in Memphis it was confirmation that this joyful, Jesus loving couple would be an absolute joy to work with! I have looked forward to March 13 ever since!!

Every detail of Peyton + Ken’s spring wedding at Fairview Inn was absolute perfection! My team and I were in photographer heaven capturing every bit of it! When I sad down yesterday to select my favorites for the blog post, it was impossible to narrow it down to only 100. This is officially the most images I have published in a single blog post to date!

Not only was everything about Peyton + Ken’s wedding beautiful, but their friends and families were just the sweetest to work with. My heart was so full as I celebrated with them and truly felt like a special guest who happened to be carrying a camera.

As I have prayed I see your marriage relationship being a wrecking ball for the kingdom that tears down strongholds! 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” The love and joy of the Lord that you both carry so well is a mighty weapon for the Kingdom of God! He has filled you to overflowing with His love and His joy, and you give it away beautifully!

Mr & Mrs Woodruff’s Winter Wedding at Stone Bridge Farms has been such a dream to be part of!! I first met Christana + Andrew a year and a half ago at Victoria + Drew’s Detail Rich Disney Inspired Wedding, and I just fell in love with this sweet couple! At the time they were not yet engaged, but Andrew shared his proposal plans with me that day! I must confess that I Facebook stalked them for months waiting for his big plan to take place! Christana and I talked back and forth the whole time they were looking at venues and deciding on a date for their big day. Walking through the engagement and wedding planning season with my couples is such a joy for me!!

A Green and Gold Fall Wedding at McClain Lodge

Mr & Mrs Woods’ green and gold fall wedding at McClain Lodge was an absolute dream to capture! Allison and Gerrard are such a sweet couple. I have loved getting to know them and celebrating with their friends and family!

Special Guests

McClain Lodge was the perfect setting for Allison and Gerrard’s wedding. This artsy couple met at Mississippi State University where Allison is studying Wildlife Biology and specializing in frogs. Special guests of the day included not only family and friends from California and Colorado, but also an alligator who swam near as we were taking portraits, and a baby frog who hopped onto the train of Allison’s gown to say a special hello!

Every detail of this green and gold fall wedding at McClain Lodge was carefully planned and chosen over Allison and Gerrard’s three year engagement. The day could not have been more perfect!

On the morning of Amanda & Asa’s bridal consult, my husband prayed and felt that I would have a special connection with this couple. That is a prophetic word that has certainly come true!! From their Zoom bridal consult, to their engagement session, and now their lake house wedding day… I have loved every moment of getting to know this amazing couple!

Mr & Mrs Phan’s Lake House Wedding was simply perfect! Jesus sent the perfect clouds to give us diffused light for perfect images. We stayed ahead of schedule all day, and everything went so smoothly with time for Amanda & Asa to simply enjoy the day and savor each moment!

Amanda & Asa, you are so full of JOY and it has been so life giving to get to know you! I can’t help but feel the Lord’s pleasure and excitement when I pray for you!! As I have prayed for you the verse from Song of Solomon 8:6 keeps coming to mind. “Place me like a seal on your heart, like a seal on your arm.” He has put His seal of approval on you love and marriage. He has such great plans for your life together, plans to advance His Kingdom!!

Mississippi Boho Outdoor Wedding

Lindsey & Payton’s Mississippi Boho Outdoor Wedding was a super chill, laid back affair on the couple’s property in Rankin County. Lindsey and Payton are two people that I love to just hang out with, so spending a full day with them, their friends and family was so good for my soul! And I have to mention that smaller, more intimate, outdoor weddings are quickly becoming my new favorite!

When I first met Lindsey at her bridal consult, I found her to be a free spirited, non-traditional bride who loved world travel. I felt an instant connection with her and excitement as we talked about her wedding day! I remember telling my husband later that same evening how much I loved getting to know her!

The days leading up to the weddings, we were all anxiously watching the weather. With not one, but TWO hurricanes in the gulf, would we need a “plan b” in case of rain? We prayed and the Lord answered with the most perfect weather!! Every detail of Lindsey & Payton’s wedding day suited them perfectly. From the laid back outdoor atmosphere, the oversized games of Jenga and connect four on the lawn, to the antiques used to serve food, this wedding was an absolute joy to capture!

Bethany and her team from Oak Experience WOWED me once again with their florals, setup and decor. Bethany is always such a joy to work with. And Lindsey’s dress from Bridal House By Woo could not have been a more perfect fit! Lindsey & Payton truly had a dream team of vendors to make their wedding dreams come true!

Mr & Mrs Weddle’s Bridlewood of Madison wedding was an absolute dream to capture! Their plans have changed several time leading up to the wedding due to COVID. And at the ninth hour the ceremony was moved indoors due to rain in the forecast. Flexibility was certainly the theme for Elizabeth & Andrew as they planned their wedding day! But no virus nor storm could put a damper on this wedding day!

Instead of the large wedding they originally planned, Elizabeth & Andrew had an elegant and intimate ceremony and reception. Smaller intimate weddings are quickly becoming my new favorite! Seeing a bride and groom have the freedom to walk from table to table to speak to each guest warmed my heart!

Elizabeth and Andrew’s Bridlewood of Madison Wedding Day included a more relaxed timeline. They had time to soak in and enjoy every moment with the people who mean the most to them. The atmosphere of JOY swept us all up in the festivities!

Elizabeth and Andrew, it was such an honor to be part of your Bridlewood of Madison Wedding! It is clear that your marriage is being built upon the rich spiritual legacies of both the Weddle and Buford families.
